Pull Rate Calculator: Odds of Pulling a Rare Card
How many packs do you need to open to pull that chase card? Enter the pull rate (for example “1 in 18 packs”) and this free pull rate calculator shows your chance of at least one hit, and how many packs, and how many Taka, it takes to reach 50%, 90% or 95%.
How the maths works
If a card appears in 1 of every N packs, the chance of not getting it in one pack is 1 − 1/N. Over P packs, the chance of getting at least one is 1 − (1 − 1/N)P. So with 1-in-18 odds, 10 packs give about a 44% chance, not 55%. That is why chasing a single card can cost more than expected.

FAQ
Where do I find pull rates?
Some publishers print odds on the packaging; for most sets, collectors publish estimated pull rates online. Use the rate for the exact set and rarity you are chasing.
Is buying a whole box better than single packs?
Often, yes. Many boxes are collated, meaning hits are spread across the box, so a full box is more predictable than the same number of random single packs.
